Designing Homepage with Other Team Members

When designing the homepage with my group it was good because each member had input on what they wanted the design to look like and the features we would use on the Homepage. We all decided the default layout as well which was a big factor for every member as this would be the background for every page on the website.

Designing Individual Webpages

When designing our individual website you design it to aim at the website design you have hand drawn and you keep the design based on that and you also have to keep the guidelines in which your client has discussed with so that you can reach out to your attended audience. When designing my 3 webpage’s I had to make sure everything was right as I had to make sure the font was readable for those with visual difficulties and also that the text to image ratio wasn’t to misbalanced as it aimed at children.

Creating a Group Email Address

When creating a group email it made for the use of the entire group so that you can go on that email account from anywhere and find out what your job is and what the team has done. This is good for the group members who are absent because you can look at the email account and then just get on with the work from your nearest computer.

Meeting with the Group

The meetings which would occur every Tuesday for our group. The meeting is just to go over the issues within our group and solving the conflict and the one issue that keeps occurring is the absences within the group. We also discuss what we have produced and what we need to produce in the future, the action points are always discussed the most because that’s when we decide which group member does what and which members will be sharing tasks and supporting each other.

Meeting with a Client

The meetings with the client are to find out what the goals of the project and the clients needs because without the clients feedback with what he wants us to have we wouldn’t be able to reach anything and it also helps with ideas, these points came up within our first meeting with the client. The second meeting with the client was to check over our designs of our website and to get feedback and praise to make sure that everything he wants is including and that everything we have used are what he wants.

Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver is the program in which we are using to design our website from our own initiative. We will be using Dreamweaver as part of a team and as individuals to design our homepage and our own countries pages. We had to make a decision for which homepage design to use. I will be re-designing the already made website design to the way our group have hand drawn our first choice design.

How Absent People Affect a Meeting

Having a member of your group absent when needing to have a meeting within your team or with your client is always hard because every member of the group needs to contribute and be up to date with the teams progress and what the team needs to do in the future as it is vital as it is a team investigation and each member needs to do their allocated job and if you need to share tasks.

Creating a Blog Account

I had to create a blog account to keep a diary on my daily progress for all the tasks I am doing whilst doing this investigation. The program which I am using to make a blog is Word Press as it is the most appropriate for our task as the last program we used was having some difficulties.

Receiving Brochures

At the start of our investigation we needed to get a brochure that was from our chosen country which mine was Greece and it had to be based on Greek people’s culture and Greek food. I looked up on the internet for a brochure that fits this but I didn’t find a relevant brochure which fitted my needs, so I went home and looked through my brochures and found a decent brochure and handbook with everything which I was looking for.

Other Skills

The other skills document I had to produce was just about the skills which I have within a group environment and it is not similar to the current as that is to do with ICT skills but the other skills document is to do with group skills, people skills and leadership skills.
